Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (medium-sized)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Cream Cheese & Bacon Filling

  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar (or pepper jack)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning (optional but excellent)

Doritos Coating

  • 3 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese is classic)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbsp milk (or water)

Optional (For Extra Crispiness)

  • Cooking spray or a light drizzle of oil

For Serving

  • Ranch or spicy mayo for dipping
  • Salad, roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, or mac and cheese
